About us

Williams Denton started accountancy life almost a hundred years ago in 1926. Back then we were called Hugh E Edwards & Co and we were the first ever accountancy firms to be based in Bangor, North Wales.

Since that time we’ve grown steadily both through natural growth and absorbing other accountancy practices. We are now one of the largest accountancy firms in North Wales with our offices in Bangor and Llandudno employing more than 30 people and serving 100’s of clients.

When we began our accountancy journey, Hugh E Edwards’ aim was to serve the people of Bangor with a first-class service combined with highly experienced accountancy. That ambition has never changed, in fact it continues to drive everything we do. The only difference is we now cover the whole of North West Wales and beyond, and our fields of experience now reaches into more areas than Hugh E Edwards probably ever thought of.

We’re also fortunate that our guiding principles have earned us an enviable reputation of being seen as approachable, knowledgeable and affordable accountants who are the leading edge of industry changes.
